Architectural Firm’s Green Roof Research Informs MIT

When Stephanie Carlisle, environmental researcher at the architectural firm KieranTimberlake, climbed onto the green roof at the Yale University School of Art Gallery in 2011, she didn’t know what she would find. The firm had not been back since 2007, when they removed the irrigation for the vegetation they had planted. As Carlisle put it, green roofs are “incredible test beds.”
